Rising Up in the Streets: Women’s March 2025


On Saturday, Mar. 8, 2025, thousands of women and people of all genders gathered for a march and rally in downtown Los Angeles. The march, organized by the , was held to commemorate International Women’s Day. 

The inaugural Women’s March, held on Jan. 21, 2017—the date of Donald Trump’s first inauguration—drew . While only a fraction of that number gathered this year—between 3,000 and 5,000—the message remained militant: demands for the Trump administration to stop attacking women, immigrants, people of color, transgender people, and more. Acclaimed civil rights icon Dolores Huerta was among the speakers featured during the event.
