Incoming president Donald Trump has picked TV celebrity Mehmet 脰z, or 鈥淒r. Oz,鈥� to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The has denounced him for being 鈥渇amous for promoting medicines and supplements that do not do what 脰z says they do.鈥澛�
Meanwhile, Public Citizen has pointed out 脰z鈥檚 in overseeing CMS as an advocate of expanding Medicare Advantage. 脰z owns significant shares in UnitedHealth Group, a private insurance company and making money off Medicare Advantage.
